This painting contains many wonderful & beautiful symbols; a cherry tree, the sun, a vast natural landscape and the three little figures suggesting relationships, family & friends, but they are always small in a vast world, which is beautiful but vulnerable. The title has more than one layer: the sun points to the environmental situation, and we are all on a journey to save it but also the sun represents joy, warmth, the sunshine that we all love and enjoy when we go out on a beautiful day or a holiday and soak up the life-giving rays that are simply pure joy.
