Fuchsia grows wild and abundantly in the summer in the West of Ireland where I live. My whole life I have associated them with summer days and dance because of their shape, I’ve always seen them as ballerinas. This painting sets them against silver leaf, which echoes the moon with such grace, highlighting the beauty of nature and the joy of a summer’s evening .
