I completed this painting as autumn approached and the seasons changed, it includes plants which grow wild around the hedgerows in the West of Ireland, including wild ferns, angelica, silver ragwort and ash but like all my paintings, it does not depict a specific place and features aspects which I have made up. I like to conjure up a feeling rather than a geographical place and the feeling I like to imbue is a magical serenity to depict the wonder of nature, which is not specific to anywhere in particular. *This painting is framed in a white custom made frame.
